A Day Trip to the Fun Farm at Sta. Elena
This is my all time favourite place to take little ones for an out of town trip. There are so many hands-on activities for the children to enjoy, from scrambling over disused tractors, feeding bunnies and guinea pigs, to learning how to fish, taking a boat ride and riding around the grounds on a horse or Carabao drawn cart. There is even an obstacle course and zip line.
Even better, the grounds are really well maintained. The animals are well cared for and the overall atmosphere is incredibly relaxed. There are painted wooden signs decorating the farm with inspiring and amusing quotes. The animal handlers are incredibly helpful, friendly and wonderful with the children.
All the attractions at the Fun Farm Sta. Elena are within a stones throw of each other so the kids can hop from pony riding to boating on the lake easily. There are no limitations on how many times you can ride the ponies, carabao cart or fish in the pond. My kids love the endless supply of chopped carrots available to feed the bunnies and guinea pigs.
Make sure you pack your own picnic as there is no restaurant on site. There is, however, a designated covered picnic area.
You have to call ahead to reserve tickets and entry as they don’t allow walk-ins. Your car has to pass a guard house and if you are not on the list, you will be denied entry to Sta. Elena.
Entry Fees: The entrance fee is P300 per head. Children aged below 2 years are free. All activities are included in this price.
Opening Hours: Open daily from 9am to 5pm
