Our top pick of the 16 best Platinum Jubilee souvenirs

The Queen was just 25 years old when she ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952… and she’s been there ever since. She is the first British Monarch to reign for 70 years, an incredible feat that’s well worth hanging up the bunting for and perhaps buying a Platinum Jubilee souvenir or two!

There are oodles of events taking place to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee from pageants and parades to picnics and even a Drag Queen Bingo (family-friendly of course). You can see our top picks of the events and activities taking place over the four-day Jubilee weekend here.

And in case you need reminding of when the party is taking place, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations take place from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June 2022 (yes, that means an extra long bank holiday weekend!).

The best Platinum Jubilee memorabilia

Given that the Platinum Jubilee really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you might want to pick up a memento or two to help commemorate the occasion – I still remember my own nanna buying Charles and Diana bone china cups for me and my siblings when they the duo got married.

But of course, if themed mugs and tea towels are not your thing then there are plenty of other souvenirs on offer, plus hampers and decorations to help you celebrate the big day.

By the way, children at a state-funded primary schools across the UK are being given a book all about The Queen. Children across the United Kingdom are being gifted The Queen Elizabeth: A Platinum Jubilee Celebration, as a keepsake to mark the momentous occasion.

Famous quotes from The Queen along with details of significant figures from across the Commonwealth, including Nelson Mandela, will be featured in the commemorative book as well as a time line of Queen Elizabeth’s life and facts about the coronation ceremony. If you left school a little while ago then don’t worry, the book is also available on Amazon.

We’ve put together a list of the best Platinum Jubilee memorabilia for all the family but if you don’t see what you’re looking for, try these souvenirs from London instead.
