UPDATE: We are through to the FINALS and this is what we think!

A huge thank you to each and every person who nominated us. The final round is still based on votes (unfortunately the first round of votes don’t count) so we ask you to please click through one more time and vote for globetotting under Best Family Travel Blog. Thank you! Katja & Victoria

We’ve been working hard on the globetotting blog this year and have been really pleased by the response we’ve had to our family adventure tales and other family travel stories. Even better, we have been nominated in the family travel category of the UK’s MAD Blog Awards 2015! The MADs (Mum and Dad) awards are highly regarded in the blogging world (like a Bafta for blogging!) and we’re delighted to have been put forward.

There are a number of categories and the five bloggers in each category with the most nominations, along with one blogger selected by the judging panel, will be short-listed as finalists. We want to reach the finals!

The only trouble is, the deadline is on Wednesday May 27th (05:30 GMT)  This leaves us with only 24 hours to drum up support!

Why do we deserve your vote?

There are a lot of family travel blogs out there but very few that cover the destinations that we do! We truly believe that you can travel with kids anywhere and our blog reflects this. We cover destinations that many families shy away from including India, Mongolia and Nepal to name just a few. We produce high-quality content, regular series and welcome contributions from family travellers who share their family travel tales with us (as much as we both love travelling, we can’t cover all the destinations that we want to on our own!). Our content is original, informative and – we hope! – fun to read.

Our four main blog series:

1) Hotel reviews for families

All the hotels featured on our website have been personally visited and reviewed by a parent. We know what it’s like to travel with babies, toddlers, tweens and teens. Our reviews are honest and tell you exactly what you can expect; what rooms are best for families, what facilities the hotel has for kids and if there’s anything that’s not up to scratch.

Our aim is to choose hotels that we think parents and kids will love . We define ‘family-friendly’ as a place that offers unique experiences for parents and children (from babies to teens) rather than whether the hotel has a fenced pool or high chairs. Our collection of hotels covers all budgets, all families and all types of holidays.

You can search all our hotels by destination or by browsing the world map.
