It’s Summer TWIST time!

Twist Summer Issue

[Tweet “Jump into summer with the latest issue of #twisttravelmag filled with #familytravel stories!”]

Summer is on its way bringing with it sunshine, ice cream and family holidays. It also heralds the arrival of the summer issue of TWIST! As some of you may remember, we were part of the inaugural edition of this new family travel magazine when it launched in March with its Spring issue and we are thrilled to be contributors once again.

TWIST Summer Issue

This issue is even better than the last one (hard to believe, right?!) and is filled with lots of inspirational family travel tales, practical holiday advice (like the best natural sunscreen for your kids), beauty and fashion tips (I would like one of these bags, please), summer recipe ideas, and holiday reading inspiration.

This summer read celebrates the traditional All American Summer with lots of great travel inspiration for the U.S.A. We love the look of this Southwest road trip itinerary as well as these ideas for discovering San Diego with kids (how have I not been to San Diego, yet?!). And then there’s this fabulous family guide to navigating the Big Apple during the summer months.

But it’s not all about the stars and stripes, there are lots of ideas for family travel further afield, too. Like Tofino in Canada’s British Columbia and this review of the incredible-looking Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, also on Vancouver Island. For European travel ideas, there’s a great article on how to spend three perfect days in Lisbon, Portugal and another one enjoying London’s booming foodie scene.

There’s a new section highlighting the best family hotels around the world and here’s where you’ll find our contributions; Victoria shared her thoughts on the amazingly family-friendly Fawakay Villas located on the outskirts of Marrakesh in Morocco and I reviewed La Lancha, a hotel worthy of starring on the Big Screen positioned near Tikal in Guatemala (it helps that it’s owned by Francis Ford Coppola!).

And there’s more! Honestly, this issue is jam-packed with so many great stories and holiday ideas. Once again we are thrilled to be part of this new family travel magazine alongside some of our favourite fellow family travel bloggers. Take a look at the Summer Issue (its’ free!!) and let us know what you think.

Family Travel Magazine TWIST Summer Issue 2017

  1. Congratulations for being contributors to Twist. It seems like a great magazine for family travels.

  2. Family travel isn’t my thing (no kids etc) – but what a great idea to have a co-operative magazine! The London food scene has been pretty amazing for at least the last 15 years – I’m glad it is finally being recognised – so many visitors who have told me how dreadful it is before they’ve explored properly themselves!

  3. This looks great – a perfect family travel magazine! However, I am sure it will inspire any traveller…people like me who often travel by themselves 🙂

  4. Some great ideas here. I like to see everyone’s fun travels and find new things to do for my next trip. I live in London and truly love the foodie scene here.

    1. Thanks Laura! London is my home town and I also think that it has a great foodie scene, I’m looking forward to exploring it more when we’re there this summer!

  5. What an inspiration! You have traveled with so many places with your family, they are lucky! Glad you finally made it to San Diego- such a fun city 🙂
